Ovalau Watersports Fiji offers daily dive trips to the sites of Wakaya, Makogai, Vatu, Moturiki and Ovalau Reefs.
Daily dive sites are chosen considering ocean and weather conditions, diver experience and diver interest.
Central Fiji scuba diving is very diverse. The Deep Waters in Central Fiji creates up welling deep sea currents, that feed a food chain from the smallest critters to the biggest creatures.....
walls, caves, overhangs and colorful soft and hard coral gardens full of colored tropical reef fish...
current exposed passages teaming with schooling fish such as barracuda, trevally, grey reef sharks, different rays, tuna, turtles and more pelagic fish. On calm days, pilot whales and different species dolphins are often spotted. Depending on behavior and mood of the mammals often memorable snorkeling experiences are possible.

Water temperature ranges normally between 26 to 28 C in the warm season (November to April). Visibility are up to 30 meters in Summer. In the Fijian winter season (May to September) temperature drops 23 to 24 C which reduces plankton activity spectacular visibility exceeding 50m are possible.

The Dive Boat
26 foot Fraser V Hull, dive custom build, 200 HP Yamaha engine, cruising over 30 knots which allows fast access to all dive sites. Surveyed for ten divers. VHF radio, oxygen and first aid on board.

Dive gear
Hire gear is Scubapro, Sherwood and Oceanic, Tanks are 12l aluminium INT and 10 l steel INT and DIN .

Dive Trips
Daily trips ( 2 dives) leave at 9.00am, return is at approximately 2.00pm. Surface intervals may be done on the boat or on islands, all depending on the dive locations visited. Light lunch and soft drinks are included.
